Wondering if I should cut the grass one last time? The grass is a bit high, however, I'm thinking it is not going to grow much more and that perhaps it is better for the soil if you leave some ground cover in place? I hear lawn mowers in the distance beckoning me to consider cutting it. Not before I discuss this with my wife who knows more about plants and soil than I do.

Another consideration are the migrating deer this time of year. They are starting to show up in my back yard looking for stuff to graze on.
